Job Description As a Security Officer - Hospital Patrol in Providence, RI , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy healthcare location, you will conduct routine rounds, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with clear communication and customer service. You will respond to calls, document observations, and help maintain a calm environment around hospital operations including vaccine areas. Requirements
- Vaccines are required for hospital posts.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site personnel and/or public responders as directed.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, corridors, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards or maintenance concerns for reporting.
- Monitor access points and visitor flow, assist with directions and wayfinding, and help maintain orderly movement in high-traffic areas such as entrances, waiting areas, and lobbies.
- Complete reports for security-related incidents, unusual activity, and patrol observations, and communicate updates to Allied Universal supervision and site leadership per post orders.
