As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license. Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
  • Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities within a healthcare setting.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical emergencies, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and contacting appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility interiors, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and access concerns.
  • Monitor access points and support visitor management procedures, helping maintain orderly movement throughout the location while providing clear directions and assistance.
  • Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and security-related concerns to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.
