Requirements

• Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Be willing to receive required hospital vaccines.
• Be able to work in a hospital environment that may include a morgue.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting, as required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential hazards or unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, screen visitors as directed by site policies, and support a courteous environment by assisting with directions, escorts, and other customer service needs.
• Support daily operations by following post orders, communicating with hospital personnel and/or first responders when needed, and completing required logs, reports, and other assigned duties.
