About The Position

As a Security Officer - Hospital Security Rounds in Syracuse, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will conduct regular patrols to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a welcoming environment for all. Your presence and proactive approach will contribute to a sense of comfort and support for staff, patients, and visitors. This is a driving post, so you will be responsible for patrolling assigned areas using a company vehicle while delivering exceptional customer service.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies within a healthcare environment.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting with emergency response activities as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and monitor for unusual circumstances.
Maintain awareness of surroundings and report any security-related concerns or hazards promptly to appropriate personnel.
Document observations and incidents according to Allied Universal and client protocols.
Offer assistance and guidance to staff, patients, and visitors as appropriate while maintaining a professional presence.
