About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Hospital Rounds in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a dynamic healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and create a welcoming environment for all. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to provide reassurance, and deliver outstanding customer service while upholding Allied Universal's core values of teamwork, integrity, and a people-first approach.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting the security-related needs of the healthcare environment.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, including interior areas and the perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity and maintain a visible presence.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior, while maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and/or maintenance concerns according to site protocols.
  • Collaborate with healthcare staff and Allied Universal team members to address security-related concerns and provide assistance as needed.
  • Support access control procedures and visitor management processes to help to deter disruptions within the location.
