About The Position

As a Security Officer Hospital Security Response in Lutz, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, assist with access control and incident response, and provide compassionate customer service to patients, visitors, and staff. Requirements

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Be willing to receive required hospital vaccines.
• Be able to work in a hospital morgue.
• Be able to restrain individuals, as needed.
• Have at least two years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, medical-related emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random foot or vehicle patrols of hospital buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, provide directions, and support a welcoming environment for patients and guests.
• Prepare accurate reports and promptly communicate incidents, observations, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
