As an Armed Security Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff with exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Be able to work in/around a hospital morgue.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Have at least six months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with access concerns, visitor-related matters, and emergency department activity as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of healthcare facility areas, parking locations, and the property perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Help to deter unauthorized access and disruptive behavior by monitoring entrances, exits, and restricted areas in accordance with site procedures.
• Document incidents, observations, and security-related activities accurately and communicate relevant information to appropriate personnel.
