As a Security Officer - Hospital Rover in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support staff, patients, and visitors with professional customer service, clear communication, and timely incident reporting. Requirements

  • Hospital vaccines are required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following Allied Universal post orders, security-related procedures, and location-specific policies, and/or supporting emergency response activities when directed.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate hospital resources and/or public services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of corridors, parking areas, entrances, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards to report.
  • Monitor access points and assist with visitor management by verifying authorization, providing directions, and reporting suspicious behavior per site procedures.
  • Complete security-related reports, incident documentation, and shift logs, and communicate observations to hospital leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
