As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will assist with access control and badge checks, use a computer and/or tablet to document activity, and provide strong customer service through clear, professional communication. Requirements

Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
Be 21+ years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
Have customer service experience, preferred.
Have access control and/or badge experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical facility disturbances, unauthorized access concerns, and property-related issues.
Conduct regular and random patrols of interior corridors, waiting areas, offices, and exterior perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or policy concerns.
Control access at designated entry points by monitoring visitor flow, verifying authorization when required, and directing individuals to appropriate departments or check-in areas.
Monitor alarms, access control points, and surveillance systems when assigned, and report irregularities per site procedures.
Complete detailed written reports of daily activity, incidents, and observations, and escalate concerns through the chain of command as needed.
Communicate professionally with healthcare personnel, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership during incidents, drills, and routine operations.
Provide assistance with wayfinding, de-escalation support, and customer service requests while maintaining awareness of security-related conditions.
Perform walking and standing duties for extended periods in variable indoor and outdoor conditions, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as required by the site schedule.
