About The Position

As a Security Officer - Hospital Perimeter Rover in Santa Clara, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support staff, patients, and visitors with calm customer service, clear communication, and accurate reporting using basic computer and/or tablet tools. Requirements

  • Have 6+ months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A state, county, and/or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer and/or tablet, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical facility disturbances, access concerns, and property-related issues, and notify appropriate personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior corridors, lobbies, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance concerns or unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and visitor flow, assist with badge and/or visitor credential checks per site policy, and report unauthorized access attempts.
  • Complete accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and shift documentation, and communicate observations and trends to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
