As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will assist staff, patients, and visitors with clear communication, access guidance, and quick responses to concerns, while documenting observations and escalating issues as needed. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of armed security-related and/or law enforcement and/or military experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting staff and visitors with de-escalation and coordination with medical personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of patient care areas, lobbies, corridors, parking areas and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity, hazards and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Control access by monitoring entrances, checking credentials when required, maintaining visitor awareness and reporting unauthorized persons and/or restricted-area violations.
  • Complete routine reports and incident documentation, communicate activity and concerns to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts and assist with shift handoff information.
