As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a fast-paced healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with clear communication and customer-focused service. You will conduct routine rounds, respond to calls for assistance, and document observations using site technology. Requirements

Vaccines are required for this hospital site.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following site-specific security-related procedures, access control expectations, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout healthcare facilities, including corridors, waiting areas, parking areas, and the perimeter, watching for unusual conditions and reporting concerns.
Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and patient-care locations for unauthorized access, potential hazards, and policy violations, helping to deter disruptive activity through visible presence and professional communication.
Support staff with de-escalation and visitor management, including assisting with wayfinding, enforcing visiting hours and/or badge requirements, and coordinating with clinical teams during sensitive situations.
