Requirements

  • Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following facility protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of hospital buildings, patient care areas, parking facilities, and surrounding property to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
  • Assist with access control, visitor direction, and requests for assistance while maintaining a professional presence in a healthcare environment.
  • Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to appropriate personnel.
