About The Position

As a Security Officer Hospital Response Patrol in Palo Alto, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare setting, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will respond to incidents, assist with de-escalation and restraint when needed, and provide exceptional service and communication. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established facility protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of healthcare facility buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and assist with visitor management, directions, and access-control procedures in accordance with site requirements.
  • Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and promptly, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and facility personnel.
