Requirements

  • Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Be able to meet hospital vaccine requirements.
  • Be willing to work in a hospital environment that may include a morgue.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting, as required.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with hospital personnel and/or first responders when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, including entrances, hallways, parking areas, and perimeter locations, helping to identify unusual activity and/or potential concerns.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site policies, helping to support orderly operations and authorized entry throughout the location.
  • Document incidents, observations, and/or daily activities accurately and report security-related concerns to Allied Universal leadership and designated site contacts.
