Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, support a welcoming environment, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence. You will conduct routine patrols, assist staff, patients, and visitors with professionalism, and deliver strong customer service and communication while working as part of an agile, reliable, and innovative team that acts with integrity.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Handcuffing certification is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing updates with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare location, including entrances, hallways, parking areas, and perimeter points, to help identify unusual activity and/or security-related concerns.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, helping to follow site protocols for entry, deliveries, restricted areas, and after-hours movement.
Support a professional environment by providing directions, answering questions, and reporting hazards, maintenance issues, and/or policy concerns to the appropriate personnel.
