Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, where you will conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support patients, staff, and visitors with professionalism and care. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • A minimum of 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Hospital-related vaccines are required.
  • Ability to work in a hospital morgue environment is required.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Ability to restrain individuals in a hospital setting is required.
  • A minimum of 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field is required.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while communicating with staff, visitors, and first responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, hallways, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access, support visitor management practices, and document security-related concerns.
  • Prepare clear reports on incidents, observations, and daily activities, and relay relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and/or location contacts.
