About The Position

As a Security Officer Hospital Patrol Specialist in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Requirements

  • Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate for a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site leadership when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter zones to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with wayfinding and entry procedures, and support a professional atmosphere for patients and staff.
  • Assist with de-escalation support, follow post orders for restricted areas, and communicate clearly with staff, visitors, and first responders during medical and/or facility-related incidents.
