Requirements

  • Hospital vaccinations are required.
  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control/badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and other individuals at a behavioral health and intellectual and developmental disability care location while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
  • Respond to incidents, behavioral health crises, and other critical situations in a calm, compassionate, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and requesting appropriate assistance when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and facility information, and report unusual conditions or policy violations to designated personnel.
  • Complete accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site procedures.
