As a Security Officer - Hospital Patrol - Overnight Shift in Myrtle Beach, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support a caring environment for staff, patients, and visitors. Requirements

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Must be able to meet hospital vaccine requirements.
• Must be willing to work in a hospital environment that may include exposure to the morgue.
• Must provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Must be able to restrain individuals when required.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare location, including entrances, hallways, parking areas, and perimeter points, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor screening, directions, and general support while following site protocols for restricted areas and sensitive locations.
• Support staff and guests during urgent situations, alarms, and/or medical-related events by following post orders, reporting concerns promptly, and coordinating with local responders and site leadership.
