As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents and protect patients, staff, and visitors within a dynamic healthcare environment. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible throughout the facility, and deliver outstanding customer service while responding to situations with professionalism and care. Requirements

  • Vaccines are required for work in hospital environments.
  • Work may involve duties in a hospital morgue environment.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Applicants must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital environment.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the healthcare environment.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure atmosphere.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying identification, and maintaining visitor logs as required by site policies.
  • Support healthcare staff and visitors by providing directions and information as needed.
  • Follow all Allied Universal and site-specific protocols while working in a healthcare location.
