Job Description As a Security Officer – Hospital Patient Patrol in Wexford, PA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help maintain a secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents, and you will provide exceptional customer service and communication. You may be called upon to respond to alarms and assist with a variety of security-related situations, including supporting hospital staff as needed. Requirements

  • Hospital vaccine requirements must be met.
  • Ability to work in hospital morgue environments is required.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergency situations as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for healthcare locations.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity, security-related hazards, or maintenance issues found during patrols within the healthcare location.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, staff, visitors, and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters and incidents.
  • Assist with access control procedures, including verifying identification and/or credentials as required by site policies.
  • Support emergency response activities and provide guidance to building occupants during incidents or drills, in accordance with healthcare facility protocols.
