Job Description As a Security Officer – Hospital Patient Patrol in Wexford, PA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help maintain a secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents, and you will provide exceptional customer service and communication. You may be called upon to respond to alarms and assist with a variety of security-related situations, including supporting hospital staff as needed. Requirements

Hospital vaccine requirements must be met.
Ability to work in hospital morgue environments is required.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
Alarm panel experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergency situations as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for healthcare locations.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
Observe and report any unusual activity, security-related hazards, or maintenance issues found during patrols within the healthcare location.
Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, staff, visitors, and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters and incidents.
Assist with access control procedures, including verifying identification and/or credentials as required by site policies.
Support emergency response activities and provide guidance to building occupants during incidents or drills, in accordance with healthcare facility protocols.
