About The Position

As a Security Officer - Government Facility Patrol in Beech Grove, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, remaining visible to help to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service. This is a driving post, so you will operate a vehicle during your patrols. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergency situations as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe for unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and public areas to help to deter unauthorized access and report any suspicious activity.
  • Document incidents, observations, and daily activities according to company and client requirements.
  • Assist with crowd control and access control as needed, maintaining a visible presence throughout the location.
  • Communicate promptly and professionally with Allied Universal management, client representatives, and local authorities when required.
