As a Security Officer Hospital Deescalation Patrol in Palo Alto, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond to alarms and requests for assistance, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will deliver exceptional customer service and communication while representing Allied Universal’s caring, reliable, and integrity-driven culture.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical emergencies, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established healthcare location procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential hazards or maintenance concerns.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and escort requests, and report suspicious activity or policy concerns to appropriate personnel.
  • Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and maintain required activity logs in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.
