As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a hospital setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. You may support sensitive areas such as the morgue and assist with restraining individuals when needed. Requirements

  • Must be able to work in a hospital morgue.
  • Must be able to restrain individuals when necessary.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to ensure compliance with all applicable laws.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and communicating with appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hospital buildings, parking areas, entrances, and surrounding grounds to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and assist with visitor directions, wayfinding, and compliance with facility access procedures.
  • Document incidents, observations, and patrol activity accurately and promptly, and report security-related concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
