About The Position

As a Security Officer Highrise Patrol in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to guests, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, front desk protocols, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Monitor lobby and entrance activity, greet arriving individuals, verify access permissions, and document visitor/vendor check-in and check-out activity in accordance with location procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, guest concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters to site leadership and/or emergency services when needed.
  • Answer phones, support directional assistance, and help to deter unauthorized access by observing front desk activity and reporting unusual behavior or policy violations.
  • Complete required logs, incident reports, and shift communications, and maintain awareness of hotel and resort operations to support orderly daily activity at the location.
