Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and store personnel by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related protocols, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document security-related activities and observations according to post guidelines.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout sales floors, common areas, entrances, loading areas, parking locations, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor foot traffic, assist with crowd management during busy shopping periods, and communicate with site contacts and local responders when needed regarding security-related concerns.
• Support loss prevention awareness by observing customer and employee activity, reporting suspicious behavior, and following established procedures for incidents involving theft, trespassing, and/or policy violations.
