Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and other security-related policies throughout the location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and urgent situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with hospital personnel and/or first responders as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of hallways, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entry points, visitor activity, and restricted areas to help to support a orderly healthcare environment and report security-related concerns according to post procedures.
  • Document incidents, patrol activity, and notable observations, and complete required reports with attention to detail and professionalism.
