Job Description As a Security Officer - Healthcare Screener Full-Time in Philadelphia, PA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Screener in a healthcare location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring access points, verifying credentials, and providing a welcoming presence to all visitors and staff. You will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment while delivering outstanding customer service and clear communication, reflecting Allied Universal's commitment to putting people first and acting with integrity.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies within the healthcare location, and respond to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Screen individuals entering the premises, verifying credentials and/or identification as required by site protocols.
  • Monitor entrances and exits to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain control of visitor flow.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Communicate clearly with staff, visitors, and/or patients to provide assistance or information as needed.
  • Report any unusual activity or security-related incidents to appropriate personnel, including identifying and communicating potential hazards.
  • Maintain a visible presence at designated screening areas to help to deter disruptive behavior and promote a welcoming environment.
