About The Position

As a Security Officer - Healthcare Screener in Bronx, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Screener in a government healthcare location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring entrances, greeting visitors, and providing customer service to all who enter. Your presence will help create a welcoming environment while supporting ongoing health initiatives. Requirements

Vaccines are required for this hospital site.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Greet and screen individuals entering the location to help maintain a secure environment.
Verify identification and credentials of visitors, staff, and/or patients as required by site-specific policies.
Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related incidents to the appropriate personnel.
Provide customer service by assisting individuals with directions, information, and general inquiries.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access.
Follow site-specific procedures and protocols as directed by Allied Universal and the client.
Assist with emergency response activities when appropriate, following established guidelines and procedures.
