About The Position

As a Security Officer - Healthcare Screener Full-Time in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Screener in a healthcare location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring access points, verifying credentials, and providing a welcoming presence to all visitors and staff. You will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment while delivering outstanding customer service and clear communication, reflecting Allied Universal's commitment to putting people first and acting with integrity.

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control or badge experience is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies within the healthcare location, and respond to emergency situations as appropriate.
Screen individuals entering the premises, verifying credentials and/or identification as required by site protocols.
Monitor entrances and exits to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain control of visitor flow.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Communicate clearly with staff, visitors, and/or patients to provide assistance or information as needed.
Report any unusual activity or security-related incidents to appropriate personnel, including identifying and communicating potential hazards.
Maintain a visible presence at designated screening areas to help to deter disruptive behavior and promote a welcoming environment.
