Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Required hospital vaccinations must be obtained.
  • Must be able to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.
  • Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital environment.
  • At least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field is required.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, common areas, and/or restricted areas while assisting with access-related procedures, visitor direction, and general support within the location.
  • Support Allied Universal and site personnel during medical-related incidents, evacuations, and/or other emergency situations by following post instructions and established response protocols.
