Requirements

  • 2+ years of security-related experience are required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Hospital vaccines are required.
  • Hospital morgue experience is required.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital environment.
  • 2+ years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field are required.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report relevant details according to site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or potential concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, hallways, waiting areas, and other assigned locations to help support authorized access, assist with directions, and address security-related concerns.
  • Document observed activity, incidents, and/or policy-related issues with accuracy, and communicate with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
