Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer at a busy healthcare location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with exceptional service and communication. Requirements

  • At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • Hospital vaccination requirements must be met.
  • Ability to work in a hospital environment that may include a morgue is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Ability to restrain individuals is required.
  • At least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and urgent situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with staff and/or first responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and public areas, assist with visitor direction and entry protocols, and help support an orderly environment for patients and healthcare personnel.
  • Observe and report hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy violations, while providing courteous assistance and clear information to people at the location.
