Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, support a caring environment, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. In this role, you will remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents while working with agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity to support patients, visitors, and staff.

Requirements

  • Possess 2+ years of security-related experience.
  • Be able to meet hospital vaccination requirements.
  • Be willing to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.
  • Provide proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control duties, and appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observed activity and sharing details with site contacts when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
  • Support hospital and clinic operations by monitoring entrances, screening restricted areas, assisting with directions, and reporting maintenance, access, and/or behavioral issues to appropriate personnel.
  • Follow Allied Universal standards and client site policies while handling routine requests, de-escalating tense interactions, and completing required reports related to daily security-related activities.
