About The Position

As a Security Officer - Healthcare Patrol Specialist NY in Syracuse, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help deter security-related incidents and promote a welcoming environment. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • A New York State Security Guard License is required.
  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting a secure environment within the healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe for any unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and support the security-related needs of the healthcare environment.
  • Document and report incidents, observations, and any maintenance or hazard conditions encountered during patrols to appropriate Allied Universal personnel and/or site management.
  • Collaborate with staff, visitors, and patients to provide assistance and information as needed, while maintaining a professional presence throughout the location.
