About The Position

As a Security Officer - Healthcare Patrol Specialist NY in Syracuse, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
A New York State Security Guard License is required.
At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting a secure environment within the healthcare location.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe for any unusual conditions.
Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and support the security-related needs of the healthcare environment.
Document and report incidents, observations, and any maintenance or hazard conditions encountered during patrols to appropriate Allied Universal personnel and/or site management.
Collaborate with staff, visitors, and patients to provide assistance and information as needed, while maintaining a professional presence throughout the location.
