About The Position
As a Security Officer - Healthcare Patrol Specialist in Tarrytown, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. Requirements
- Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Experience with access control or badging systems is preferred.
- A guard card or security license is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergencies when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
- Observe and report any irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, visitors, and/or patients while maintaining a visible presence.
- Follow post orders and instructions provided by Allied Universal management and the client representative.
- Assist local law enforcement, fire, and emergency medical personnel as needed during incidents or emergencies.
