Job Description As a Security Officer - Healthcare Patrol Specialist in Fredericksburg, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help create a secure environment for staff, visitors, and patients. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service and clear communication. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the healthcare location.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
Observe and report security-related irregularities such as property damage, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences within the healthcare environment.
Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, visitors, and/or emergency responders as situations require.
Document incidents and maintain detailed records according to Allied Universal and client protocols.
Assist with access control, visitor management, and monitoring of entrances and exits as assigned.
Support a welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors while maintaining awareness of surroundings.
