Job Description As a Security Officer - Healthcare Front Desk in San Diego, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Front Desk professional with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will be the first point of contact, providing exceptional customer service and communication while monitoring access and supporting a secure environment. You will help to deter security-related incidents through your presence and responsiveness, all while upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A valid guard card or license is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Greet visitors, patients, and staff at the front desk, providing a welcoming and professional first point of contact.
  • Monitor access to the location by verifying identification and managing visitor logs in accordance with site-specific policies.
  • Assist with security-related procedures, including checking credentials and issuing visitor badges as required.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations at the front desk in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Support Allied Universal and client staff by communicating important information and/or incidents promptly and accurately.
  • Maintain awareness of surroundings to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activities at the front desk area.
  • Assist with emergency response activities as directed, including following evacuation and/or lockdown procedures when appropriate.
  • Document and report all security-related incidents, observations, and/or unusual activities in a clear and timely manner.
