About The Position

As a Security Officer - Healthcare Buildings in Las Vegas, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this people-first role, you will support patients, visitors, and staff through teamwork, reliability, and integrity while bringing an agile, innovative approach to daily responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Possess a Certified Protection Officer certification.
  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Be 21 years of age or older.
  • Have 2 or more years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
  • Have 5 or more years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following post orders and reporting protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, including halls, waiting areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Monitor access points and observe visitor, patient, and staff movement to help to identify unusual behavior and report security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Document incidents, observations, and/or daily activities, and communicate relevant information to supervisors, local staff, and/or emergency responders as needed.
