As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol healthcare locations to help create a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors. Your visible presence and routine patrols will help to deter security-related incidents while providing exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Proof of hospital-required vaccines is required.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, staff, visitors, and patients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies within the healthcare environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for healthcare settings.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify potential concerns.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related issues to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with access control measures, including verifying identification and monitoring entry points to restricted areas.
  • Support emergency response activities as directed, including assisting with evacuations or medical emergencies when appropriate.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of incidents, patrols, and other security-related activities as required by site procedures.
