As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and provide exceptional customer service and communication to patients, visitors, and staff. Requirements

  • Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
  • Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Be able to lift more than 20 pounds, preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
  • Have access control or badge experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
  • Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility interiors, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy concerns.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, support access-control procedures, and provide directions or assistance to patients and visitors as needed.
  • Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
