As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a government transportation location, you will conduct routine patrols and vehicle tours, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to reports with clear communication and strong customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under Allied Universal driver policy. Requirements

  • A minimum of 6+ months of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to riders, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a public transportation location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of bus bays, platforms, parking areas, perimeter fencing, and adjacent walkways to help to deter policy violations and identify unusual conditions.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disputes, medical situations, suspicious activity, and/or unauthorized access.
  • Monitor access points, vehicle and pedestrian traffic flow, and restricted areas, providing directions and assistance while reporting concerns through proper channels.
  • Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and shift documentation, and communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership and local authorities as required by post orders.
