Join Allied Universal supporting a government location as a Patrol Officer, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to reduce security-related incidents. You will document observations, communicate clearly with staff and visitors, and respond to issues with professionalism and integrity. Requirements

  • Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
  • Have a minimum of 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service at a government location by following site-specific procedures, access requirements, and/or emergency response activities as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of interior and exterior areas, including entrances, corridors, and perimeter routes, to help to deter prohibited activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor assigned areas for unusual conditions, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns, and report findings to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership in accordance with post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, providing assistance to staff and visitors and/or coordinating with local responders when needed.
  • Complete required documentation such as activity logs, patrol reports, and incident statements, using clear, timely, and accurate written communication.
