As a Screener in a government location, you will monitor entry points, interact with visitors, and help to deter security-related incidents by maintaining a strong presence. You will conduct routine patrols, provide clear communication, and deliver exceptional customer service. Requirements

  • Have at least three years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform screening of individuals entering the location by following established security-related procedures and protocols.
  • Provide customer service by assisting visitors and staff, answering questions, and offering directions as needed.
  • Monitor entrances and exits to help to deter unauthorized access and report any suspicious activity.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific policies.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate logs of screening activities, incidents, and observations as required by the site.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement and/or emergency personnel when necessary, following Allied Universal guidelines.
  • Remain alert and attentive while performing assigned duties, adapting to changing conditions at the government location.
