As a Screener with Allied Universal in a government location, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment by monitoring entrances, conducting screening procedures, and assisting visitors. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $18.55 / Hour Job Schedule: Day Time Thur 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM Fri 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM

Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to those entering the location by carrying out security-related screening procedures and following site-specific policies as directed by Allied Universal.
  • Monitor entry points and check credentials of individuals seeking access to the premises, helping to deter unauthorized entry.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for government facilities.
  • Maintain awareness of surroundings to help identify and report unusual activity or potential security-related concerns.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with visitors, staff, and emergency responders as needed.
  • Document observations and incidents according to site requirements and Allied Universal procedures.
