Job Description As a Security Officer - Government Entry Screener in Lahaina, HI , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Screener at a government courthouse location, you will help control access by greeting visitors, verifying credentials, and screening people and belongings using magnetometers and X-ray equipment. You will stay visible, conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, and report concerns to support a professional, orderly environment. Requirements

  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A Guard Card/License is preferred.
  • CPR/First Aid is preferred.
  • Customer Service Experience is preferred.
  • X‐Ray Screening Experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors and staff at a government courthouse location by following site-specific procedures, access requirements, and/or emergency response activities.
  • Conduct entry screening operations, including operating magnetometers and/or X-ray equipment, checking bags and packages, and directing prohibited items to the proper process per post orders.
  • Verify identification and court-related credentials as required, manage visitor flow, and issue temporary passes and/or maintain visitor logs consistent with site policy.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and reporting concerns to site leadership and/or appropriate authorities.
  • Perform regular and random patrols of assigned areas such as entry points, lobbies, corridors, and perimeter areas, noting and reporting conditions that may help to deter security-related issues.
