As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal at a government location, you will serve as the first point of contact for visitors and staff, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service. You will monitor access, verify credentials, and use computer systems or tablets to support daily operations. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • CPR or first aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and guests by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the front desk.
  • Monitor access to the location by verifying identification and/or credentials of individuals entering the premises.
  • Assist with visitor management, including logging and issuing visitor passes as required.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations at the front desk in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, staff, and members of the public, addressing questions and/or concerns as needed.
  • Support emergency response activities by following established protocols and contacting appropriate personnel when necessary.
  • Maintain a visible presence at the front desk to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activities.
  • Document security-related incidents and/or unusual activities according to company and site-specific procedures.
