As an Allied Universal Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will greet employees and drivers, verify credentials, manage visitor and vehicle entry, and support shipping and receiving flow. You will monitor activity, complete reports, and communicate with site leaders to help reduce security-related incidents while delivering outstanding customer service. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to site personnel, visitors, and drivers by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, location policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Control access at gates and/or entry points by checking identification and credentials, issuing badges, verifying appointments, and maintaining visitor and vendor logs in accordance with location requirements.
Monitor inbound and outbound traffic for a logistics and distribution location, including coordinating with dock staff, screening delivery documentation, and directing vehicles to designated areas as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions taken and notifying site leadership and/or emergency responders per post orders.
Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, yards, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and report maintenance and/or security-related concerns.
