Security Officer - Gatehouse
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Gatehouse in Parma, ID, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will manage entry and exit points, verify credentials, and guide visitors and contractors through site procedures. You will maintain a visible presence, document security-related activity, communicate clearly with site teams, and respond to concerns with professionalism. Requirements
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients at a chemical and/or petrochemical location by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification, issuing and collecting visitor credentials, and documenting employee, contractor, and delivery traffic in accordance with site requirements.
- Screen vehicles, packages, and deliveries as required, helping to deter unauthorized materials from entering restricted areas while maintaining a professional, service-focused approach.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, assisting with evacuations and/or shelter instructions as directed, and completing required reports.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, production-adjacent areas, and the perimeter, checking doors, gates, and restricted zones and reporting unusual conditions per post orders.
